Biography

Tokunbo is the current Chief Executive of Career Ready, a UK wide social mobility charity that links employers with schools and colleges to open up the world of work for young people aged 11-18.

He is also a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and was a Cabinet Office appointed Social Enterprise Ambassador for three years. In addition in 1999 Tokunbo was co-founder of the ORIGIN rites of passage programme for young men of African- Caribbean descent.

​He possesses a unique combination of creative entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to secure stakeholder engagement and to drive, manage and nurture a national staff-team.

Tokunbo currently sits on the trustee board of Access Foundation for Social Investment and the Foundation for Future London. In 2020 he organised the Black Unity Bike Ride, which saw 2000 riders cycle across London in support of a number of anti-racism campaigns.

Tokunbo has worked with many Wavelength clients as a Speaker on diversity & inclusion and social mobility.
