Biography

Oke’s career spans corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and board-level governance. After qualifying as an accountant with Legal & General, he held senior roles at Prudential and Bupa, including Director of Customer Service and Operations, where he sharpened his focus on customer experience strategy and organisational culture.

He moved into consultancy as founder of Think Outside In, helping organisations embed customer-centric strategies. During this period, he also served as Director of Customer Experience for Sainsbury’s, overseeing service delivery across stores, online and financial services. Oke’s first book, The Cult of Service Excellence, reflects his commitment to exceptional customer experience as a leadership priority.

In 2016, Oke joined the founding team of ManyPets (formerly Bought By Many), helping grow the business into a disruptive pet insurance provider with over half a million customers across multiple countries and a valuation above $2bn. He later served as UK CEO of ManyPets, leading strategy, growth and organisational development.

In early 2024, Oke moved on from ManyPets to launch the social enterprise Elevate Colour, focused on increasing the representation and success of people of colour in UK business leadership roles.

In 2025, Oke was appointed Chair of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, bringing his experience in strategy, culture and leadership to the governance of one of the UK’s major healthcare providers. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Independent Governance Committee of Scottish Widows, contributing to governance and oversight in the financial services sector.

Oke has previously served as a non-executive director on boards including Hyde and Bromford housing providers and the Institute of Customer Service. He is a sought-after speaker on leadership, culture, customer experience and inclusive leadership, delivering practical insights to help organisations build more equitable, purposeful and high-performing workplaces.
